Challenge
As smart home technology becomes more advanced, user expectations for seamless integration and intuitive use have grown. Livy Alive, the latest addition to the Livy ecosystem, was designed to meet these needs with cutting-edge features: home protection, geofencing, live camera feeds, air quality monitoring, noise detection, and more.
My Approach
We approached this project with a user-centered mindset, ensuring that the packaging:
✅ Premium, modern, and cutting-edge
✅ Echoed Livy’s identity
✅ Made setup and discovery feel simple
Design Process & Concept
1️⃣ Research & Insights
We spoke with Livy users who valued calm, reliable experiences and felt wary of overly complex technology.
2️⃣ Concept Ideation
We aimed for packaging that felt like a natural extension of the device itself:
Visual: Clean and minimal
Tactile: High-quality materials
Informative: Clear, human-centered messaging
3️⃣ Visual Identity
The final system uses deep purples, gentle line graphics that evoke mapping and guidance, and a simple premium typography to match Livy’s brand.
The Packaging Experience
The packaging exterior features a bold purple palette, minimalistic graphics, and clear product messaging. Inside, a clean and well-organized unboxing journey has been carefully crafted to help the user understand every aspect of the product, from installation to onboarding. Attention to detail shines through in everything from the precision of the box’s closure to the tactile quality of the materials. Every element was designed to reflect Livy’s ethos of safety and sophistication.
